ABOUT

Welcome to Head Hand & Heart!

Modern, Folksy and Fun Custom Portraits for every age!

One night, as Christina Flowers tucked her two-year-old daughter into bed, she began to tell an adventure story that featured her little strawberry blonde-haired girl. The next day, the designer created sketches of the girl and the characters that populated her world. Soon the clothespin people of Head Hand & Heart were born.

The sunny day you met your best friend. When your future husband got down on one knee. The birth of your daughter, your son’s first steps, the night you brought home a bundle of fluff that now purrs or pants by your side. Life is full of story book moments, and Head Hand & Heart captures the love with colorful, customized portraits of characters unique to your story.

Traditional portraits and family photos require dozens of takes, matching sweaters, and absolute stillness (despite the wiggles, tail wags, and closed-eye quirks that make real life real). With the clothespin people of Head Hand & Heart, you don’t need to be perfect to have perfect results. Simply choose your customized colors and styles—from clothes and glasses to skin and hair—and sit back as Christina Flowers, the artist behind Head Hand & Heart, handcrafts your special design.  Feeling indecisive? Send Christina your favorite photo, and the award-winning artist will develop a fun and modern portrait worthy of any storybook.

From baby bumps to “We love you Mom”s, family trees to Facebook profile pics, Head Hand Heart’s bright and playful portraits are easy, no-hassle gifts as unique as the people you love.

Each portrait is created with love by award-winning graphic designer and illustrator, Christina Flowers, from her studio nestled in the Shenandoah Valley.

About Christina Flowers

When I think of myself creatively, I see myself as a young girl with bright red hair and braids. Spunky and fun, wearing bold colors and patterns with a style all my own—that’s pretty much what I was like as a kid and that’s the person who comes out when I design. Even though I am now a businesswoman, mother and wife, I can still be that girl and I love it!
